⚖️ Offense and Defense: The Two Skills You Need
Offense and Defense: The Two Skills You Need
Your mind needs both offense and defense to succeed.
- Offense = imagining success, generating ideas, staying excited
- Defense = handling fear and frustration before they take over
The two biggest motivation killers:
Fear feels like a bonfire. The more you feed it with negative thoughts, the bigger it gets.
Frustration is like a bubble bath. It starts small, then overflows and affects everything.
The goal on offense is to train yourself to find creative energy even when conditions are not perfect. Teams with light energy (genuine excitement) get more done and attract others naturally. Teams with heavy energy (complaints and demands) drain everyone around them.
