🏆 Always Play Offense: Why Winning Is When Most People Start Losing
The Moment You Start Winning Is When Most People Start Losing
A soccer team goes up 2-0. What happens next? They stop attacking and start defending the lead - and almost every time, that shift costs them the game.
This happens everywhere in life. The moment you feel like you have something to lose, playing safe kicks in. And playing safe is literally wired into human biology from caveman days.
But here is the truth: not playing safe is a trainable skill. It does not come from willpower. It has to be in your bones through reps.
Three things that steal your offensive drive:
- A bad routine
- A bad physical setup
- AI quietly taking your agency
AI is not something you give agency to - the system is designed to take it. When you are stuck and immediately turn to AI instead of pushing through yourself, you hand over the reins of your own thinking.
Also watch out for compartmentalization - having a work-you, home-you, fun-you, serious-you. The more you split yourself, the less authentic and powerful you become.
Playing safe feels like the smart move. But train yourself enough and it will start to feel like death.
