🌍 Spanish Street Food: Small Bites, Big Flavors
What is Spanish Street Food?
Spanish street food is all about small, tasty bites that are actually really good for you!
There are two main types:
- Tapas - popular in central Spain
- Pinchos - popular in the Basque country in the north
Spain is a small country with 7 totally different cultures, each with their own food traditions and languages.
The Famous Russian Salad Test
One of the most famous tapas is Russian salad (ensaladilla) - made with potatoes, carrots, fava beans, olives, and homemade mayo. If a bar makes a great Russian salad, everything else they make will be great too!
Why It's Good For You
Spanish street food is part of the Mediterranean diet - lots of veggies, olive oil, lean proteins, and whole grains in perfectly portioned servings.
