For adults over 25, unlearning existing knowledge and habits is significantly harder than learning new information.

While children under 25 can easily absorb new concepts, adults struggle with removing deeply ingrained patterns from their mental database. This difficulty stems from our:

• Automatic weekly rituals
• Hardwired habits developed over time

The challenge isn't just about acquiring new skills - it's about overriding the consistent behaviors we've practiced for years. Understanding this difference helps explain why changing established routines requires more effort and patience as we age.
