π₯ Burnout, Momentum, and the 85/15 Rule
Burnout happens when you keep investing without getting returns. The result is complacency, a kind of numbness that's one of the worst places to be.
The Opposite of Burnout is Momentum
Momentum requires making several right calls in a row, quickly, in the same direction.
The 85/15 Rule
- 85% of your time: thinking, planning, brainstorming
- 15% of your time: taking action
Most people do this backwards.
Work in Sprints
Use 90-minute focused work sessions with mindless breaks in between. Your brain is sharpest in the morning, so protect that time for strategy, not emails.
Key Insight: Actions taken too far apart make it impossible to spot patterns and learn from them.
