👁️ The Superpower of Noticing
Before you can fix anything, you have to notice it first. This is one of the most powerful and overlooked skills in leadership.
Think about visiting a doctor - you often feel better the moment you arrive, before any treatment. Just knowing what is wrong brings relief. Noticing works the same way.
When you notice your automatic patterns, they begin to slow down. Slow motion lets you see decision points - moments where you actually have a choice.
Without noticing:
- You only see results after the fact
- You feel stuck without knowing why
- You have low agency over your own life
Important warning: When people notice bad habits, they often add shame on top. Your mind can be your biggest bully. The goal is to notice, slow down, and gently make better choices - not to punish yourself.
