🧠 Curiosity: The Active Superpower for Modern Leadership
While gratitude gets lots of attention, curiosity might be the most important character trait for the 21st century.
Unlike passive traits like humility, curiosity is active - it's like 'active humility' that keeps you engaged rather than frozen.
Character traits work like muscles:
- They grow with practice
- They weaken without use
There's a 'two wolves' concept where you're always feeding either:
- 🐺 Curiosity (growth mindset)
- 🐺 Its opposite (certainty/freezing)
Two Leadership Mindsets:
- Owner mindset: Considers long-term consequences
- Renter mindset: Focuses on immediate gratification
⚠️ Warning: Curiosity has a dark side called 'deprivation curiosity' that can be destructive, so it's crucial to practice the right kind of curiosity intentionally.
