🧠 Curiosity: The Active Superpower for Modern Leadership

LIP #171

While gratitude gets lots of attention, curiosity might be the most important character trait for the 21st century.

Unlike passive traits like humility, curiosity is active - it's like 'active humility' that keeps you engaged rather than frozen.

Character traits work like muscles:

  • They grow with practice
  • They weaken without use

There's a 'two wolves' concept where you're always feeding either:

  • 🐺 Curiosity (growth mindset)
  • 🐺 Its opposite (certainty/freezing)

Two Leadership Mindsets:

  • Owner mindset: Considers long-term consequences
  • Renter mindset: Focuses on immediate gratification

⚠️ Warning: Curiosity has a dark side called 'deprivation curiosity' that can be destructive, so it's crucial to practice the right kind of curiosity intentionally.
