🗂️ How to Actually Get Things Done Week by Week
A Simple System to Make Real Progress Every Week
Step 1 - Use colors to track momentum
- Green = things going well and building momentum
- Red = things that are struggling and need attention
Step 2 - Set three priority levels
- Priority A - the most important things to ship this week
- Priority B - middle items you leave completely alone
- Priority C - things you are deliberately NOT doing this week
Out of 50 items, pick 10 A's and 10 C's. Do not touch the B's at all.
Step 3 - Weekly rhythm
- Monday: Review priorities together as a team
- Monday: Have quick 15-minute chats about high-effort items to scope them down
- Wednesday and Friday: Quick check-ins to adjust
This system is not just about productivity - it is a learning tool that helps you understand what your team can realistically achieve.
