🌀 How to Stop a Mental Spiral

When your brain starts spinning out, here's what's happening:

Trigger (present) → Memory (past) → Scary prediction (future)

This loop gets worse fast. Here's how to stop it:

Step 1: Ask yourself - 'What do I need right now?' Not what you're feeling, but what you actually need. Courage? Strength? A fresh perspective?

Step 2: Interrupt the spiral. A simple trick - drink a glass of water. It breaks the pattern.

Remember: Every time you spiral, you're building stronger negative pathways in your brain. You can't erase them, but you can build new, better ones by facing fear in small doses.
