🥬 How to Make Fermented Purple Cabbage

Making fermented cabbage requires only two ingredients:

  • Purple cabbage (chosen for visual appeal)
  • Non-iodized sea salt (10g per cabbage)

Preparation Steps:

  1. Remove outer layer and core
  2. Cut into quarters, then slice thinly
  3. Mix with salt until liquid forms
  4. Leave at room temperature for 2-3 days
  5. Don't refrigerate during initial fermentation

Ready when: Color changes from purple to reddish 🟣➡️🔴

Storage: Lasts up to 9 months in refrigerator when using clean utensils (never fingers!)
