Making fermented vegetables requires just 4 basic ingredients:
🥕 Ingredients:
- Vegetables (carrots, cabbage, etc.)
- Water (tap water is fine)
- Salt
- Appropriate jar (1-2 quart)
📏 Salt Ratios:
- 2 tablespoons for cabbage
- 1 tablespoon for carrots
🔧 Process:
- Don't over-sanitize jars (simple rinse only)
- Pack tightly to minimize oxygen
- Use your hands - they contain beneficial bacteria!
- 5 days at room temperature
💧 What to expect: Liquid will accumulate at bottom due to osmosis - this is normal and healthy!
