Think of your brain like a phone battery.

Fully charged? You can handle anything. At 20%? You start shutting things down and making poor decisions.

Building top performance needs four pillars working together:

  • Physical preparation (sleep, exercise, nutrition)
  • Technical skills
  • Tactical intelligence (experience through repetition)
  • Mental strength - this is what separates the best from everyone else

Your brain burns energy three ways, from least to most:

  1. Moving your body
  2. Learning something new
  3. Dealing with persistent uncertainty (the biggest drain)

Every morning you face a choice: fighter or victim. Many people choose victim mode before they even get out of bed.

The goal is to arrive each day mentally ready - playing offense, not defense.
