🧠 Your Mind State Changes Everything
The state of your mind directly affects the quality of your work. When your head is not in the right place, your output suffers.
Here's something wild: your brain cannot process negatives. Tell yourself 'don't be nervous' and you become more nervous.
The fix? Flip negative thoughts into positive ones:
- Instead of 'don't mess up' try 'do my best work'
- Instead of 'don't hit the trees' try 'follow the path'
Pilots and skiers know this well. Focus on the obstacle and you hit it. Focus on the path and you glide through.
Key question to ask yourself: 'Is this story I'm telling myself helping me or hurting me?'
And when things go wrong, swap judgment for curiosity. Ask 'I wonder what's going on here?' instead of 'why am I so bad at this?'
