πΊοΈ How to Plan So You Never Burn Out
Plan More Often and Never Burn Out
Planning once a year is basically useless. The world moves too fast. Winners plan 6-12 times per year, with monthly being the sweet spot.
Why burnout happens: You can't see how today's work connects to your future goals. Regular planning fixes that.
The VX Framework - think of it like a road:
- VX: Your big dream, 300+ meters away (direction is clear, details are fuzzy)
- Mid-range: 1-2 miles out (visible but still developing)
- 10-meter goals: What you can do in the next 1-2 months (crystal clear)
The new order for planning:
- People first - who's on your team?
- Projects second - what makes sense to build?
- Calendar last - when does it happen?
Start with people, not schedules.
