⚡ The LBR Method: Light, Break, Revisit for Breakthrough Conversations
The most effective methodology for dealing with difficult situations is LBR: Light, Break, Revisit.
'Bring it to light' means:
- Aggressively putting every difficult thing on the table
- Both parties matching each other's 8-10 energy level
- Avoiding the problematic dynamic where one person operates at high energy while the other stays at 3-7 level
After fully engaging with challenges at high energy, you naturally oscillate to low energy states, which are equally valuable for generating insights.
The key is avoiding emotional suppression to 'get work done' - this leads to inferior work because:
- Your brain can't effectively tackle hard, unprecedented missions while bottling up emotions
- True breakthrough thinking requires being real, visceral, and authentic
- Fully engaging with emotional challenges rather than staying in the mediocre middle ground
