🚫 Shame Gets in the Way — Here's How to Drop It
Shame is one of the biggest blockers to clear thinking. When you feel shame, you get protective, start blaming others, and make it hard for anyone to help you.
Think of it like a video game difficulty setting — easy, normal, hard, insane. A lot of us are playing life on hard mode without realizing it.
A big trap to avoid: Pretending to be more advanced than you are.
When you successfully fake it, people use advanced language and make big assumptions — and then you have to keep up the act forever. That gets exhausting.
Try this instead:
- Be honest: *"I am still such a beginner at this."
- With people you see regularly, honesty matters even more
- Remember: the battles inside your head are often more damaging than anything outside
Investing time in being honest with yourself — even when it feels slow — is one of the best things you can do.
