Three particularly destructive emotions can lead to poor judgment and decisions:
• Desperation
• Frustration/helplessness
• Selfishness
These emotions significantly impact our ability to tackle problems effectively because:
Our behaviors → follow our mindset → which follows our emotions
The challenge is that the emotional part of our brain lacks words, making it difficult to articulate feelings. Since we're each in our own 'movie,' we need others to help us identify and examine these emotions objectively. It's nearly impossible to assess our own emotional state when we're experiencing it firsthand.
