🤖 How to Actually Work Well With AI (It's a Social Skill, Not a Tech Skill)
Two people use the same AI and get completely different results. Why? The secret isn't technical - it's social.
The skill that makes someone great at AI is cognitive empathy - understanding what the AI knows, doesn't know, and needs from you.
The wrong approach: Ask AI for answers, copy what it says
The right approach:
- Share YOUR thesis first
- Explain what you're unsure about
- Ask AI to critique your thinking
- Stay in the driver's seat
When you get a bad AI response, ask yourself: 'What false assumptions is the AI making? What context am I forgetting to share?'
Think of AI as a team of a thousand interns - without your guidance and context, it creates more problems than it solves.
