🔥 How to Actually Resolve Conflict: The LBR Framework
Most people handle conflict by avoiding it, dragging it out, or trying to win. Here is a better way.
The LBR Framework:
L — Bring it to Light (the hardest part)
- Have the difficult conversation early, not at the last minute
- Get the hard stuff out in the first 5-15 minutes
- Push through friction — you cannot get traction without it
B — Take a Break
- Even 5 minutes works
- No phones, no scrolling — actually reflect
- Ask yourself: what do I really want to say?
R — Revisit
- Come back and genuinely ask: what were you thinking?
- This is where the gold lives
Real resolution is not compromise. It is a brand new answer neither person had before. The longer you wait to revisit, the harder it gets.
