😰 Stop Overthinking: Past, Present, and Future

Only 10% of your thinking happens right now. The rest? 50% stuck in the past, 40% worrying about the future.

Both are impossible tasks - you can't change the past or control the future.

Two thinking traps:

  • Over-regretting = imagining a perfect life if you'd chosen differently (it wouldn't have been perfect)
  • Over-worrying = building a chain of assumptions about the future

The fix: Trust that you'll handle future problems the same way you've handled every problem so far.

Advanced trick - Break timelines into thirds:

  • First third = experiment and test ideas
  • Most people waste this planning
  • Then panic in the final third

Turn past regret into present action - if you don't act now, you'll regret wasting this moment.
