Visceral drafts are quick, unpolished thinking exercises designed to expose your thoughts rapidly rather than create perfect plans.

The Practice:

  • Complete at least one per day (250 per year)
  • Build confidence in sharing initial ideas
  • Identify blind spots and create momentum

Key Techniques:

  • Use Sharpies instead of pens → forces bigger, clearer titles
  • Always start with a clean sheet for each iteration
  • Balance acknowledging fears/frustrations without letting them dominate
  • Focus on thinking and ideas over polish and presentation

The goal is to be proactive rather than reactive in your thinking process.
