🗂️ Master the Now vs Later Framework
The most powerful productivity tool is compartmentalizing everything into two buckets: 'Now' and 'Later.' Think of these as distinct containers when rapidly preparing something in the kitchen.
For 'Now' items: Invite intense debate and intellectual conflict to make the best decisions with speed.
For 'Later' items: Be light and open-minded with fewer confrontational debates.
⚖️ The key is avoiding extremes - both excessive compartmentalization and complete lack of it can be lethal.
🚨 Don't let urgency define importance. Many people put fires in the 'now' bucket while everything else goes to 'later,' but every fire you put out creates another one.
When your 'now' bucket becomes empty because there are no fires to fight, resist the urge to create crises. Instead, embrace the uncomfortable void and focus on invention and creation.
