📊 The Mental State Scale: Optimizing for Creative Work
Use a mental state scale from 0-10 (excluding 5):
🟢 0: Excited, creative, foaming with ideas
🔴 10: Triggered, panic mode, shutting down
❌ No 5: 'Okay' usually means 'not okay'
Creative Work Zone:
✅ Stay on the green (lower) side
❌ At 7-10: Stop creative work - won't produce quality
Decision-Making Tips:
- Train yourself to be quick AND correct
- 90%+ of decisions are reversible
- Use 'JFDI' (Just Do It) for small matters
- Better to decide quickly and iterate than overanalyze
Building Confidence:
🎯 Take action → Learn as you go → Build trust in adaptation ability
This creates mental lightness and the mindset: "I don't know, we'll find out as we go."
