🎯 What is Vibe Coding and Where Did It Come From?
Vibe coding is a brand new way of building software where you describe what you want in plain English and AI builds it for you.
The term was coined by Andre Karpathi, co-founder of OpenAI, in a tweet on February 3rd, 2025 that got 3.8 million views.
Before vibe coding, you needed to learn 4-5 programming languages just to build one thing. Now, tools like Lovable, Bolt, and Replit let you type what you want and they build it.
A real example: an immigration pathway tool was built with no code at all, launched in June, and gained thousands of users within months.
Just like writer's block, coders used to get stuck too. AI helps you get unstuck fast - you can even paste an error and ask it to fix it!
