🧠 Team-Based Deep Thinking and the OODA Loop
Traditional deep thinking was done alone through meditation or writing, but modern challenges require team-based sensemaking.
The military uses the OODA loop framework:
- Observe (learning observation skills)
- Orient (situational assessment)
- Decide (understanding options before acting)
This collaborative approach helps teams process complex information more effectively than individuals working in isolation. The key shift is retraining our minds to conduct strategic thinking with at least two people, combining different perspectives to reach better decisions.
